Klaudia Alagierska-Szczepaniak – since 2018 she has been the middle player of ŁKS Commercecon Łódź. With the Lodz team she won 5 medals of the Polish championship – 2 gold and 3 bronze. She represented Poland, which won gold in the red and white colors of the 2019 Volley Masters Montreux tournament.
Team AVA: How many cosmetics do volleyball players need during the trip?
Klaudia Alagierska-Szczepaniak: It all depends on the capacity of the cosmetic bag 😊 For match trips I try to limit the number of products, I take everything I need for body and face care, but in small capacities.
TA: If a volleyball player had to choose just one cosmetic, what would it be?
KAS: Of course it would have to be my favorite face cream.
TA: Do volleyball players do an evening/night spa in the bathroom after a tough match?
KAS: I’m a fan of an evening spa, especially on a looser day. Although it doesn’t happen often, I always try to take at least some time for my body every evening, because after all, my body is a tool for my work.
TA: Are there any cosmetics that volleyball players avoid?
KAS: I am fortunate that my skin is not one of the allergic ones, so I have a high tolerance to cosmetics. The only thing I avoid is greasy creams, especially for my hands.
TA: What kind of cosmetic fragrances do volleyball players like?
KAS: It depends on the area they are going to use. When it comes to the bath, I tend to prefer sweet scents, while when it comes to the face, I like natural or slightly citrusy ones.
TA: Is deodorant in cream a better product for volleyball players than a traditional deodorant spray or ball?
KAS: The deodorant in cream was the first cosmetic from the new Active Beauty line that I tried and fell in love. I had never tested a deodorant in cream before, but I already know that it will stay with me for a long time. It is gentle and does not irritate the skin. It has everything an active woman needs.
TA: Are there any ingredients in cosmetics that volleyball players should watch out for because they irritate the skin?
KAS: It all depends on the person and skin type. My skin is not prone to irritation, but I always choose natural cosmetics with good composition.
TA: Do volleyball players put on makeup before an important match?
KAS: Doing makeup is one of the activities that relaxes me, especially with a good cup of coffee. On match days, makeup for me is mandatory.
TA: Does a volleyball player’s makeup bag get bigger on days when there are no matches or training?
KAS: I would say that it even gets smaller. On days off or less active, I try to give my face a rest from makeup. In my makeup bag I always have what I use every day.
TA: Which cosmetic from the Ava Active Beauty line is the most innovative and why?
KAS: From the Active Beauty line, it is the deodorant in cream. I have never used this type of deodorant before, only the ones in an aerosol, which were drying and floating all over the locker room. This is an innovative product that I will use for longer.
