How do you identify your skin type? A basic guide ✨
Do you dream of a perfect complexion? It’s easier than you think! 😊
Welcome to the first post of our series “Perfect complexion? It’s simpler than you think!”, where we will introduce you step by step to the world of conscious skin care.
To start – the key to everything: recognizing your skin type. 🧖♀️💡
Why is it important to know your skin type? 💭
Imagine buying the most expensive cream on the market… and it doesn’t work! 🤯 Why? Because even the best cosmetic chosen for the wrong skin type won’t work wonders. Your skin type is the foundation on which you will build effective skin care.
What are the basic skin types? 🌟
Your skin may have different needs, so we classify it into several types:
Dry skin: rough, tight, sometimes with visible dry cuticles. It cries out for hydration! 🏜️
Oily skin: glowing, with visible pores, often prone to imperfections. Needs balance. ✨
Combination skin: T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) can be oily, but cheeks dry. Skin with two faces! 🎭
Normal skin: perfect balance – neither oily nor dry. Like winning the lottery! 🏆
Sensitive skin: easily red, burning or reacting to cosmetics. It is a real lady, requiring delicacy. 💔
How to check your skin type? 🕵️♀️
Want to know what type of skin you have? Take the clear skin test in three easy steps:
1️⃣ Wash your face – preferably with a gentle gel. Don’t apply anything for 1-2 hours. Let your skin “show you what it feels”. 🧼
2️⃣ Observe – How does your skin look? Do you feel tension? Can you see shine?
3️⃣ Do the handkerchief test – apply a handkerchief to different parts of your face.
Oily marks? Oily skin.
No marks? Dry skin.
Only in the T-zone? Combination skin.
